Better Triathlete is an online publication focused on supporting the journey of triathletes and endurance athletes.
While multisport is our core, we also cover topics specific to single-discipline sports like swimming, cycling, and running, as well as nutrition, strength, recovery, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.
When writing for Better Triathlete, please focus on topics in which you have experience and expertise. We want your professional and personal take on your topic. Also, Please do not submit content that’s been published or syndicated elsewhere; only original and evergreen content is accepted.
Please follow these editorial guidelines:
- Write in a conversational yet informative tone. Bring out your natural voice.
- Make your headlines unique, catchy, and descriptive, but under 100(ish) characters. Instead of “Ironman Nutrition Tips” consider a headline like “How to Nail Your Race Day Nutrition for Ironman”
- Break up ideas with sub-headings (header 2 and header 3) and use these liberally throughout your article. It helps keep readers engaged and supports the ‘scanability’ of the content.
- Use short paragraphs of no more than 2-3 sentences. This also helps the readability of your content on mobile devices.
- We accept both short-form content (500 words) and long-form content (1,000+ words), depending on the nature of your content.
- Include links to research, studies, etc. (e.g. PubMed) where appropriate to support any claims, facts, and statistics mentioned in your article.
- If there are particular images you’d like to include, please send them as separate email attachments. Otherwise, we can help source images.
